Guinness asked gamers to vote for the top 50 video game characters of all time, so if your favorite character is not represented in this list you probably should have voted harder. More than 13,000 gamers cast their vote at the Guinness World Records Gamer's Edition website in order to create this list, and it ended up pretty much as one would have expected. Mario, Link, and Master Chief top the rankings, with very few surprises popping up in the remaining 47. I would not have expected Eddie Riggs from Brutal Legend to make the list, for instance, and Naruto doesn't seem like he should count.

Nintendo's penchant for creating memorable characters shines through, with 11 entries coming from the house that Mario built. Of course Luigi is not one of those 11. Everyone hates Luigi. Check out the full list below to see if your favorites made the cut.

1. Mario (Donkey Kong, Nintendo, 1981)
2. Link (The Legend of Zelda, Nintendo, 1986)
3. Master Chief (Halo: Combat Evolved, Microsoft, 2001)
4. Solid Snake (Metal Gear, Konami, 1987)
5. Cloud Strife (Final Fantasy VII, Square, 1997)
6. PAC-Man (PAC-Man, Namco, 1980)
7. Lara Croft (Tomb Raider, Eidos 1996)

Looking back on this now, you think this promo would've been a great way to showcase how Farah would've eventually came to help the Prince in The Two Thrones (as opposed to another Dark Prince combat/kills montage), but as luck would have it, Ubisoft never did put her character to good use in the least. She wasn't even a A.I controlled character, just a Cinematic figure piece.

QUESTION: You and Gemma Arterton have great chemistry on screen in Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time. That must have helped in the scenes where your characters banter together?
JAKE GYLLENHAAL:
Oh definitely! Those scenes I think were the best written and the most fun to play. They came so naturally and we shot them so fast. It was unfortunate that the ended so quickly. We might spend a month on an action scene and half a day on that scene (with Gemma). We would nail it and move on. She and I had a sort of tit for that thing. The first time we met she looked at me as though she was unimpressed and I looked at her like…’You should be! Why aren’t you?’…(joked). So that was it from the beginning, there was no acting required.

QUESTION: The weather in Morocco during filming was supposed to be so hot and sandy that it was almost like having sand in your mouth all the time?
JAKE GYLLENHAAL:
It was not that bad. It was ok. It was hot but it was fun. The desert is really cleansing…the sand exfoliates your skin….and there is a nice warm dry sun and you are sweating.

QUOTE:
Farah: "Listen to this: [reading from a book] 'Of what use is reason against the power of love? Love is life. So, if you want to live, die in love. Die in love if you want to stay alive.' "

Prince: "What's that supposed to mean?"

Farah: "I thought you'd like it."

Prince: "If you want to be useful, try finding a book that will tell us how to get out of here."

Farah: "This isn't that kind of game."

Prince: [to himself] "A game? She thinks this is a game!" +++

QUESTION: What do you think Farah meant when she said these words to the Prince? Do you truly believe she began to think of their journey to the Tower of Dawn as a simple game because the Prince wielded the dagger of time (and thus, in a way stay death with a simple travel back in time)? Or do you think she had more knowledge of the Dagger and the Sands of time than she really let on throughout the entire game?
