VERDICT: Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands falls ever so slightly short of the high standards set by the wonderful The Sands of Time, but that doesn’t stop it from being a highly enjoyable game. The combination of platforming and puzzle solving is just fantastic, truly a joy to experience. If a little more polish was applied to the visuals and combat, it could have been something special. Still, it’s a must for fans of the original trilogy... [READ MORE] - Rating: 8/10

The Verdict: "Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands" is a solid game, but it's not something you should run out to spend $60 on. There's a good amount of game here -- 8-10 hours -- but not enough challenge to offer much in the way of a fulfilling experience. Even if you're a fan of the series, wait for a sale to buy the game at a more worthwhile price....[READ MORE] - Rating: ?/??

Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is an obvious tie-in with the upcoming movie, though it avoids parroting the events on the big screen. Instead, it's presented as a lost chapter that takes place sometime after 2003's Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (upon which the movie was based as well) and before the Warrior Within and the Two Thrones. Confusing? Yes, but the loopy time travel narrative at the heart of each game is essential to the trilogy...[READ MORE] - Rating: ?/??

The games industry was fast becoming a rather broken record for me, particularly with how the ports of big budget high definition titles always turned out on either the Nintendo DS or the Nintendo Wii. With the fast announcement of Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands so soon after the previous instalment of the series, and the fact that a film is hitting cinemas soon, I couldn’t help but think that the game was being rushed out to coincide with the film on the HD consoles, and an even slacker port be given to the Wii. Thankfully, Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands isn’t all that bad on the Nintendo Wii and isn’t a rushed port job, it’s almost an entirely different experience....[READ MORE] - Rating: 7.5

"Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands" isn't a typical movie tie-in video game. It actually delivers an original story line in a highly- playable format. The game rewards those who played the PlayStation 2 and Xbox iterations back in 2003 and 2004, yet it won't leave new players in the dust.
A little history lesson: "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time" was a fantastic game for its day in 2003. It was a proper restart of a franchise dating back to two-dimensional gaming in the 1990s. The two sequels lost their way from the original formula, but "The Forgotten Sands" promises to be a tribute to what made the series so great.
"The Forgotten Sands," reviewed on the Nintnedo Wii, does its best to mix combat, platforming, puzzles and motion controls. Developer Ubisoft delivers on this monumental task by giving a straightforward adventure to get the prince his princess and kingdom.....[READ MORE] - Rating: 3/5?
