Rumor: Splinter Cell and Prince of Persia Trilogies Coming to PS3

While Ubisoft didn't reveal anything about this yet, Amazon France is currently listing two upcoming Playstation 3 games: Prince of Persia Trilogy and Splinter Cell Trilogy.

These games already exist for the previous generation consoles and the PC, and Splinter Cell Trilogy included: Pandora Tomorrow, Chaos Theory, and the original Splinter Cell, while Prince of Persia Trilogy included: The Sands of Time, Warrior Within, and The Two Thrones. No word yet about any changes to these games in their transition to the Playstation 3.

While these foreign Amazon listings tend to hit the nail on the head most of the time, keep in mind this is just a rumor. Still, would you be happy if Ubisoft really released these titles? [Source: VG247]

I think the trilogy on the ps3 graphics wise would be amazing and beautiful. But there shouldn't be any changes to game play. Those games are great as they are.

They are great as they are, which is what puzzles me about this rumor. A graphics upgrade would be nice, but other than that, would really be a point of remaking a series of games that aren't really a decade old yet? To be honest, I think The Warrior Within and The Two Thrones would befit the most from a PS3 upgrade (they could fix the storyline and be rid of the OOC-Prince). Sands of Time would just end looking prettier than it is now :P.
